FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Reprint Workflow

FSC titles require logo approval on each printing by the manufacturing division’s Plant Forestry Lead (ISO Management Representative). In order to ensure a title is not delivered to the manufacturing plant with an unapproved logo, please follow this process.

Note - all pages containing the FSC logo must be approved by the manufacturing division’s Plant Forestry Lead prior to printing

  1. Search for your title in Lakeside Scout by entering an ISBN13, ISBN10, title name or customer code.

  2. Retrieve, (i.e., check out) the applicable component, (text or cover, etc.) containing the logo by following the instructions here. If all components are affected, follow the instructions here.

  3. Once the component is checked out, download the page containing the logo as a single page, high resolution file. See high resolution download instructions here - follow method 3 to download a single page.

  4. Email a copy of the page(s) to your CSR who will then forward it to their Plant Forestry Lead (ISO Management Representative) for approval.

  • If the existing logo is approved as is and there are no other corrections, the component must be checked back into the system by providing approval to print. Follow the instructions here.

  • If a new logo is required, it will be provided by the CSR. The new logo will need to be inserted into the page(s) and emailed back to the CSR for final approval. Once approved, you need to replace the old page(s) with the revised page(s). See instructions here to make a correction. Once corrections are complete, approve the proof on the page(s) by following the instructions here. Finally, the component must be checked back into the system by providing approval to print. Follow the instructions here.
