Creating a Bound Galley Title

A bound galley is a preliminary version for an upcoming book. You create a bound galley title in much the same way as a new title. Bound galley may also be referred to as an ARC (Advance Reader Copy) or ARE (Advance Reader Edition) or BM (Bound Manuscript). In all cases, use the naming convention as detailed below.

If you have access to multiple accounts, make sure you are in the right account. To switch between accounts, follow the instructions here.

 

Start by clicking the "+ Title" button in the left menu.

A form will display where you enter information for the bound galley title. Minimum required fields are Title* and Customer Reference**. Leave the ISBN-10 and ISBN-13 fields empty. Author(s) and Publisher(s) fields are optional.

Click the Save button to create the bound galley title. Once the title is created, follow the upload instructions in this article.

* Title field - it is recommended to include ' - Bound Galley' after the book title (see example above).

** Customer Reference field must include the 13 digit ISBN followed by '-Galley' (hyphen and Galley); the 'G' must be capitalized; do not use spaces (see example above).
