Details & Important Notes

Step 1

Contact Your Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Before uploading any files, you must first contact your dedicated Lakeside Book Company CSR.

Step 2

CSR Creates Job Record

Lakeside Book will create a job record within our internal Prinergy Insite system. This record is the foundation for tracking and securing your project throughout the entire manufacturing process.

Step 3

Receive Confirmation

A Lakeside Book Company representative will notify you once the job record has been successfully created and your upload credentials are ready.

Step 4

Upload Files to Kodak Insite

You will upload your files to our secure, dedicated Prepress Portal: Lakeside Book Company Prinergy

Step 5

Select the Job and Upload

Log in to the portal and select the newly created job record. Upload your print-ready files directly into the designated job folder. Do not use security on the PDF files.

Step 6

Proof and Approve

After uploading, you will use the Kodak Insite portal to digitally soft-proof and formally approve your pages.

Key Security & Process Notes

  • Dedicated Upload: For high-security titles, all content must be submitted via the secure Kodak Insite link provided. Do not use email, FTP, or any other unauthorized file transfer method, as this bypasses our security protocols.

  • Proofing and Approval: The Kodak Insite portal allows for a secure, collaborative, and auditable proofing process. All content approvals must be completed within Insite.

  • Security Commitment: Once files are approved, they are locked down within our secured workflow and remain protected until the designated street date.

  • Assistance: If you have any questions during this process or encounter issues with the Kodak Insite portal, please contact your CSR immediately.
