To allow cookies in Microsoft Edge, you can follow these steps.

Quick Method (Address Bar)

The fastest way to reach the correct screen is to copy and paste this into your Edge address bar and press Enter: edge://settings/content/cookies


Manual Step-by-Step Method

If you prefer to click through the menus, follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings: Click the three dots (...) in the top-right corner of the Edge browser and select Settings.

  2. Go to Permissions: On the left-hand sidebar, click Cookies and site permissions.

    • Note: If you don't see the sidebar, click the "hamburger" menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner first.

  3. Manage Cookies: Click on Manage and delete cookies and site data at the top of the list.

  4. Enable Cookies:

    • Ensure the toggle for Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended) is turned On (blue).

    • If you are having trouble with specific sites (like a login page), ensure Block third-party cookies is turned Off.

If you only want to allow cookies for a specific site:

You can allow specific sites while keeping others blocked:

  1. On the same Manage and delete cookies page, look for the Allow section.

  2. Click the Add button.

  3. Type in the website address (e.g., [*.]lakesidebook.com) and click Add.

Tip: After changing these settings, it is usually best to restart Edge or refresh the page you were trying to access to ensure the changes take effect.
